The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the visuals while criticizing the storyline. The Times of India gave two-and-a-half stars, saying "Doctor Strange has everything going for it except a good story". NDTV gave the movie four stars out of five, calling it "one of Marvel's most ambitious projects. With an excellent soundtrack and visual effects to boot, we hope Hollywood sees the potential in this movie as well". Oneindia.com gave three stars out of five and said ""Doctor Strange" is a good film which takes you on a rollercoaster ride but fails to impress you as a stand-alone movie." The Hindu gave the film 3.5 stars out of five and praised the performances of Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton and added that "The visuals and other elements work well for its class". Sify gave 3 stars out of 5 and said, "The special effects make up for the under-developed story". The Times of India rated the film 3 stars out of 5 and said "Cumberbatch in swashbuckling action suit is impressive. But this isn't an Edgar Wright film; its too much on the spectacle than on the script". The trailer for this movie was released on 6 July 2016. The Telugu version with megastar Tollywood's top actor Mahesh Babu was released with tamil dubbed version of Avengers: Age of Ultron on 6 April 2016 simultaneously with tamil dubbed version of Captain America: Civil War. 8eeb4e9f32 34
